Articles: Tempest is in its final development state!

Posted by webmaster on Dec 05, 2000 - 05:45 PM

From the Fmax home page...

Tempest is in its final development state. However, the main part of Tempest, the PowerPC 603e processor is only available in packages of a certain amount - so we have to order more than we actually need for the first series.

This requires us to take preorders. You don't need to pay in advance and we don't need 100 or even 500 orders to continue - About 20 preorders will be sufficient. All you need to do is promise to buy a Tempest when it's finished.
The main advantage is that those who preordered will of course get their Tempest-boards before anyone else does.
Mail Istari Software to preorder.

Articles: CCAG 2001

Posted by webmaster on Dec 03, 2000 - 11:49 AM

IMPORTANT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When one is dealing with the U.S. Military, for using a facility for any type of event, the fact that a priority function. i.e. a drill, may come and take the time of your own event.

That is true here too. My unit, B Co. 112th Engineers, did originally plan to have it’s AT(Annual Training) from the 2nd of June 2001 till the 16th of June 2001. That is no longer. The AT was pushed back to the 19th of May till the 2nd of June, 2001.

As a result, with the original AT dates, no June drill was needed. But now, one is, and that drill falls on the 23 - 24th of June. As such, we have had to re-schedule the CCAG 2001 from the 29th till the 30th of June 2001, one week later.

We apologize for this change of events, as I only heard of it on Wednesday myself, and the Command to change the drill date was only a few days before that. So, this is not at all something I knew about for several months. But, only found out about it when I got my unit’s newsletter.

If any of our attendees cannot attend now, because of the date change, please contact us immediately, and we will change the list. Otherwise, may all of you have a wonderful and safe Christmas Season, and we’ll see you at the CCAG!

Regards,

CCAG Staff
